Cradle Mountains is not less famous for its hiking trails such as Overland Track than to go to climb their " Walls of Jerusalem". Overland Track requires more than 8 days of excursions and goes from Cradle Valley to Lake Saint Clair. But at the time of the tasmanian' autumn , the hikers come to admire the colors of certain trees named " Deciduous Beeches ", that is to say small Beeches (Nothofagus gunnii) which reveal pigments going from the yellow to the sharp red, while passing by orange, brown and golden.
Their small leaves measure only 2 cm, but all unit, they transform the landscape of Cradle Mountains, bringing a key of magic tonalities to him.
