Metasequoia glyptostroboides, Hubei province, China

This Metasequoia is the only thousand years old witness of what were the forests of Metasequoias.
Few Expeditions did researchs about this rare tree.
The Chinese Botanists « Hu & Cheng » sent seeds of this species
to different arboretums of the Earth between 1946 & 1948.
The locality « Sui - Sa - Pa » means « Plantation of water fir trees ».
